• Participating collaboratively in the nursing process by contributing to the data collection for assessment, implementation, and evaluation of individualized plans of care.
• Practicing within the 3 nursing roles of provider of care, manager of care, and member of the discipline of nursing.
• Using critical thinking, teaching learning principles. Current standards of practice and organizational skills in providing individualized basic nursing care based on developmental, physiological, sociocultural, religious, and spiritual difference in clients.
• Performing basic nursing therapeutic interventions using nursing knowledge, skills, and current technology in a competent and safe manner.
• Acting as a client advocate showing caring, empathy, and respect for the rights, beliefs, property, and dignity of the individual.
• Practicing the basic principles of effective therapeutic communication with clients and family, communicating relevant observations related to the client by collaborating with members of the health care team, as well as documenting pertinent observations and care appropriately.
• Managing assignment of clients and delegating within the scope of practice to trained unlicensed personnel.
• Practicing within the profession's ethical and legal framework and being accountable for one's own nursing practice.

• Hybrid learning: students take classroom, online, and clinical courses.
• Students can enroll in the program four times per year (January, April, July, and October).
• Offered full-time at each of our eight campuses in Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan.
• Begin clinicals early in the program, leveraging classroom training under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Successful completion of the program results in the ability to take the NCLEX©-PN test to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
• No pre-requisites, prior college, or prior nursing experience is necessary to enroll.

We prepare students to have the bedside skills that will position students for success in the workplace.

• Hybrid learning: students take classroom and online courses as well as an externship with one of our healthcare partners.
• Students can enroll in the program four times per year (January, April, July, and October).
• Offered full-time at each of our six campuses in Ohio.
• Successful completion of the program results in the ability to take the Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA)® exam to practice as a Certified Medical Assistant.
• Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
• No pre-requisites, prior college, or prior medical experience is necessary to enroll.
