The focus of our programs at Hondros College of Nursing is to educate healthcare professionals who enter the workforce of the communities in which we serve.
Each member of our administrative staff and faculty team wants to see you succeed in your schooling and in your career. Hondros College of Nursing offers the following programs:
LPN – Licensed Practical Nursing
This campus-based program prepares students to receive their practical nursing diploma to be certified to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX©-PN) to become a licensed practical nurse. Students can choose the daytime or evening/weekend schedule (at select campuses). The program can be completed in 12 months.
RN – Registered Nursing (Associate Degree in Nursing)
This campus-based program lasts 15 months and prepares LPNs to receive their Associate Degree in Nursing to be certified to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX© -RN) to become a registered nurse.
Transfer Students - Direct Entry Option
Do you have college credit and a dream of becoming a nurse? Our Direct Entry ADN Option gives students the opportunity to earn their Associate Degree in Nursing, to become a registered nurse, without prior nursing experience. If you have 32 semester credits/48 quarter credits of prior college experience with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher, you may qualify. Students can complete this program in as few as 15 months if attending full-time.
Online Nursing Programs
Online Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs are available through our sister institutions, American Public University (APU) and American Military University (AMU). They strive to provide quality, affordable, and accessible higher education to professional registered nurses by fostering lifelong learning through industry-driven curriculum that prepares students for service and leadership roles in a diverse and global society.
MA - Medical Assisting
Hondros College of Nursing’s Medical Assisting program prepares students to receive their medical assisting diploma to be prepared to take the Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) exam. Students will take classroom and online courses as well as an externship during the program, which can be completed in as few as 12 months.
